Build in the southeast edge of the undead mounds. There's great access to stone, iron, wood, and high tier thralls, and the all important obelisk is very close. There's water for fishing, and bark and plant matter in decent quality for small scale work. No brimstone at all, but that's where being right next door to the obelisk comes in.

There is a couple of nice spots in the mountains south of the dead mounds. Real close to brimstone lake, absurd amounts of iron, and close to the best thrall camp and the obelisk.
