Oct 5, 2021 · Start at the battery connections make sure they are clean and tight. Then follow the positive cable back to the solenoid that is mounted on the frame. Make sure these connections are clean and tight. Follow the wire to the starter and verify that connection is clean and tight.

It should pressurize the fuel system on the first turn of the key to on. From there it should hold pressure and the pump should run while cranking to keep pressure to the system. If turned off and back on soon after the pump will not run if the pressure is still there.It turns over but wont fire. check/refill oil; attempt to start with wide-open throttle; remove the spark plug; check if the tip did get wet with fuel; determine the burn color of the spark plug tip; cautiously perform a spark test. electrical/ignition/spark issue; or. fuel starvation/delivery concern. 8536 posts · Joined 2012. #8 · Dec 10, 2013. Hello folks. I am new the forum and need some help. I bought a 2006 500 carb ranger. It all of the sudden stopped running while my father in law was driving it. It ran fine before. It cranks over fine, has compression, has spark. I pulled off the fuel line to carb and turned it over and plenty of fuel supply.

Check your battery voltage and connections. It didn't look like it had been used. I got a new switch and thought it was ready to go but now it cranks and will not start. I pulled a plug and it appeared to have spark. I sprayed ether in the intake and it started and ran for about 1 second. Because its hard to drive and spray started fluid at the same time I need to go further.

I have a 2018 Polaris Sportsman 570. Bought it used and everything seems perfect on it except starting. Half the time I go to start it the engine attempts to turn over but doesn’t. If I try again it turns over and fires up nicely. Troubleshooting Polaris Ranger Crew No Start - Charge the Battery. Connect the battery to a battery charger, and leave it charging for a couple of hours. Once the battery has been charged, take another voltage reading. If the voltage reading is 12.5 volts or above, the battery is fully charged and is good to go.
ThorsHammer. it's sounds like a fuel mixture/plug issue to me. inspect the plug. 9/10x I've had starting issues with my machine was because the plug was fouled. I know it's harder to get to on the 570, but with my machine it's less than 5 minutes to get it up and running if it's the plug. "There are no problems.

Almost like it gets stuck at a spot with too much compression. Keep turning the key and it will eventually fire right up. Lift the seat, turn the key on and listen for a high pitched whining noise coming from the tank. If the pump doesn't run for about 3 seconds when you cycle the key on, then you need to find out why. Sometimes it's just a faulty relay or a bad connection. If the pump is getting power but still don't spool up when you cycle the key, then the pump is bad.Put a little fuel starter in inlet to carb (remove air cleaner, spray a few seconds, place filter back on then try starting). Even if the engine is shot, it should start, it'll either sound ok or will make loud banging sounds. Best of luck, I give it 50/50 odds, could be ok. Don't give up yet.Make sure your rig is in neutral. Some types cut the plug power others cut all power. It does sound like a blown coil pack . Then pull rhe 14 mm bolt on the top of the stator housing. You should see a timing mark on the stator. If you dont turn the cam gear one more revolution. If you dont see the timing mark on either position.
